Rosters Announced for Hockey New Brunswick High Performance Summer Camps
Fredericton, NB – July 18, 2022 – Two hundred and thirty male and female hockey players, across five divisions have been invited to participate in the Hockey New Brunswick Development Festival beginning July 18th. The camps will run over fifteen days in Fredericton, on the University of New Brunswick campus.
On the male side, sixty-eight players will be attending the Under-14, forty players will be attending the Under-15 and Under-16 camp. Females will have forty in the Under-16 and Under-18 camp.
From the players invited, players will be selected in the Male Under-14, Male Under-15, Female Under-16 and Female Under-18 divisions to compete against the other Atlantic branches at the Atlantic Challenge Cup, held in Moncton on Thanksgiving weekend. The Male Under-16 staff will select players to compete in the Fall Challenge held in Dieppe on the same weekend.
Each of the summer camps will feature inter-squad games, daily practices, fitness testing, and presentations from guest speakers on topics including fitness, mental preparation and nutrition.
Some notable alumni that have participated in the HNB High Performance Program, and went on to play for Team Canada include Sarah MacDonnell, Marlene Boissonnault, Philippe Myers, Lukas Cormier, Nathan Beaulieu, Sean Couturier, Jake Allen, Patrice Cormier and Luc Bourdon.
