Hockey New Brunswick Female Skills Development Camps Coming to Quispamsis, Moncton, Grand Bay-Westfield, & Woodstock
 
Hockey New Brunswick will be offering female hockey players an opportunity to take part in a Hockey New Brunswick Skills Development Camp being held in Quispamsis (March 7), Moncton (March 8), Grand Bay-Westfield (March 9), & Woodstock (March 10).

Homegrown hockey player shines on the international stage

With 20,000 fans cheering you on, it’s hard not to get overwhelmed. Dieppe native Philippe Myers, fresh off the ice from the 2017 World Junior Hockey Championship, still gets goosebumps thinking about playing for Team Canada at one of the biggest international hockey events of the year.

The 19-year-old defenseman just can’t believe it.

            “I will never forget this experience. You’re playing against the best players in the world. It’s incredible.

“When you’re up against the best hockey players, you realize you can do this and you are good. I realized I can compete against the best players and I’ll take that confidence and bring it back to the juniors. Hopefully it will pay off.”

HNB Major Midget Franchise Application

Hockey New Brunswick will be accepting bids for the four Major Midget programs that play in the NB-PEI Major Midget League.  Below are the bid guidelines, which outline the application process.
 
The deadline to submit a bid is April 14th.

Registration open for Male U13 Camp

Male Under 13 Spring Camp Now Available for Registration!

Hockey NB is excited to announce that registration is now open for the Male Under 13 Program. This program will run as an introduction to the High Performance Program and is open to any male player currently rostered on a Peewee AAA team in New Brunswick. (2005 born)

The camp will consist of 4 Ice sessions. There will be one Skills practice, one position specific practice, one inter-squad game, and Hockey New Brunswick Staff will be there to put the players through an on-ice skills combine. There will also be off-ice presentations on fitness, nutrition, as well as what to expect in the Male U14 High Performance Program. The camp will take place in Quispamsis, NB (Q-Plex) on May 13th & 14th.

28th Annual Hockey New Brunswick Fundraiser

Hockey New Brunswick is a non-profit organization responsible for governing amateur hockey in the province. There are over 25,000 New Brunswick residents involved in hockey as players, coaches, officials, administrators and volunteers.

2016-2017 marks the 28th Annual HNB fundraising campaign. This campaign is a provincial fundraising program aimed toward keeping the cost of participation in amateur hockey to a minimum, while providing an opportunity for minor hockey associations, teams, and athletes to raise money for their groups.

Fredericton, NB – Hockey New Brunswick is pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for their 2017 Male Under-14, Male Under-15, Female Under-16, and Female Under-18 divisions.

2017 HNB Cup!

Hockey New Brunswick has now opened the registration for the 2017 HNB Cup, which will be taking place April 21-23 in Fredericton.   The event is open to all Female Under 16, Male Under 14, and Male Under 15 players.

Smith becomes president and COO effective July 1, 2017

TORONTO, Ont. – Tom Renney announced that Hockey Canada’s chief operating officer, Scott Smith, has been appointed president and COO effective July 1, 2017.

Renney, who joined the organization as president and CEO in 2014, will continue to lead and set the direction for Hockey Canada in his role as chief executive officer. He said the move to promote Smith will allow the organization to more effectively deliver on its mandate to grow the game within Canada, and abroad.

Tournament action kicks off Sunday; Team Canada East and Team Canada West to play pre-competition games Friday
 
CALGARY, Alta. – The 22-player rosters have been set for Team Canada East and Team Canada West for the 2016 World Junior A Challenge, Dec. 11-17, in Bonnyville, Alta.
 
Working in partnership with Hockey Canada, the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) has wrapped up its two regional selection camps which featured a total of 100 players from across the country with the selection of the two 22-player rosters that will make up Team Canada East and Team Canada West at this year’s event.
