November KYC Coach of the Month winner

Hockey New Brunswick is proud to announce the November KYC Coach of the Month winner, Jelissa Roy, a coach of the U9 Panthers with the Greater Miramichi Female Hockey Association.

Jelissa was nominated by her daughter, Sparrow, who highlighted her commitment to fair play, encouragement, and creating a positive team environment. Sparrow shared that her mom “always makes sure everyone gets a turn to play” and that “having fun is just as important as winning.”

Through her leadership, Jelissa consistently supports and motivates every player, celebrating effort, learning, and teamwork both on and off the ice.

Her dedication to her team, alongside balancing work and family, exemplifies the true spirit of coaching at the grassroots level.

Sparrow proudly summed it up by saying, “That is why my Mom is my hero and the best coach ever.”
