November Coach of the Month!

Ken Stewart (Oromocto Minor Hockey Association) chosen as Hockey New Brunswick Coach of the Month for November.

Hockey New Brunswick is happy to announce that Ken Stewart of the Oromocto Minor Hockey Association’s William Seafood Pee Wee Sharks has been selected as the Hockey New Brunswick Coach of the Month for November.

“Ken has been very involved this year, especially with goaltender development within OMHA. He facilitated four goaltending clinics to start the season with fantastic feedback from parents and players,” said the volunteer who nominated Ken. “Ken’s love for goaltending started at a young age and he has played with his Army Units and Base Gagetown Warriors while still finding time to volunteer. He is always reading and trying to find new ways to help the development of goaltenders and players in and around the Oromocto area. His love for the game has also inspired players of his to volunteer within the community as well”.

“Overall, Ken has a great passion for the game of hockey and the important life lessons involved as well. His motto is “We don’t lose, we learn”. This season Ken has worked with his Pee Wee team to raise donations and funds for the Food Bank and local SPCA as part of the Good Deeds Cup sponsored by Chevrolet. Ken is not afraid to volunteer his time, which sometimes means arriving at the arena, or leaving the arena in his military uniform” said another volunteer.

Ken will receive a Bauer coaching bag, a Coach-Mate coaching board, HNB apparel and a year subscription to the Hockey Canada Network App. To nominate your coach for Coach of the Month, please Click Here.
