UNB Welcomes HNB Hockey Development Festival Athletes


The University of New Brunswick is honored and proud to welcome the high-performance athletes who are attending the HNB Hockey Development Festival to our campus this summer. In an effort to help you enjoy your stay, here are a few notes from UNB:

Residence

 

  • The residence rooms will have two beds, dressers and closets. The beds have full linens on them; however, you will need to bring your own towels.
  • There are phones with free local calls in each bedroom. If you wish to make a long distance phone call, you will need a calling card or you will need to call collect.
  • There is a laundry room in the residence building. Laundry machines take quarters only and laundry detergent is available at the Campus Shoppe in the Student Union Building (building #61 on the campus map).
  • There are vending machines in the building that sell beverages and snacks - they take all coins and some take bills.
  • Please respect the building and others while you stay with us.
  • If you need any assistance, there are two Summer Monitors who live in your building and our front desk is accessible 24 hours a day: 453.4800, Residence Administration Building at 20 Bailey Drive.

 

Services on campus

 

  • The Student Union Building is located across the road from the residence. There is a post office and a convenience store. The SUB also has a few computers with access to the internet so you can keep in touch while you are at camp.
  • There is a gym, pool and library on campus if you have any free time.
  • The University Bookstore is located on Dineen Drive on campus and sells lots of UNB Merchandise as well as books and magazines.
  • There are bank machines on campus for accessing cash if you need it.
  • Your meals will be served in McConnell Hall at times requested by the camp organizers. Meals are all you care to eat and offer a wide variety of choices. In order to dine at McConnell Hall you will need your meal card that we issue upon check-in. Lost meal cards cost $5 to replace
  • UNB Security is always on campus and available to help with any emergencies, they can be contacted at 453.4830
