Hockey New Brunswick Present’s the 2010 HNB CupRegistration will be one hour before your first scheduled game timePlayerParent BulletinWelcome to the 2010 HNB Cup. The Hockey New Brunswick Board of Directors together with the Hockey Development Commission is pleased to offer you this program which is designed to provide a Development Experience for players, officials, coaches and trainers. HNB Cup The HNB Cup is designed to provide you with an experience of playing with and against players who are of a superior caliber to that of your club team. In addition, the HNB Cup is used as an evaluation tool to identify the top 40 in each category to participate in the 2010 HNB High Performance Hockey Development Festival. Players are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner both on and off the ice. The coaching evaluators will be watching and evaluating at all times. This means your demeanor on and off the ice will count towards your rating for the weekend. How you dress and talk is just as important as how you play. Should a player require discipline for on and/or off‐ice activities, their involvement in the HNB Cup may be terminated. Accommodation’s, travel, and meals are the responsibility of the individual players. Players are responsible for the care and custody of all personal belongings and hockey equipment for the duration of the camp. HNB will not have extra equipment on hand so please double check your bag before you leave. HNB will provide you with jersey for the camp. We also request that the socks you wear are matching to each other and not in particular to your jersey color. Players must participate and compete at the position for which they have registered. Players will not be permitted to alter their chosen position during the camp. The evaluation process will see players evaluated on a scale of 1‐5, 1‐unacceptable, 2‐below average, 3‐average, 4‐above average, and 5‐ excellent. Evaluations are based on the Spring Camp performances only. At the end of the weekend, each player’s performance scores will be added with the sum determining their ranking among the players at the same position. The top players at each position will be selected at the conclusion of the HNB Cup. All players who are injured, or who may be injured during the HNB Cup, are required to inform the trainers, as well as the coaches for your respective team immediately. This will ensure that your injury is taken into account in the evaluation process and that appropriate treatment can be applied to your injury. Players will receive a letter one to two weeks after the HNB Cup by mail at which time they will be advised whether or not they advance to the High Performance Hockey Development Festival. Often times throughout this process, coaches, players and parents get caught up in the selection component of the program. The truth of the matter is that, regardless of whether or not a player does move on, each player is still provided with an excellent development opportunity by simply participating and working to be their best. Successful players make the most of their participation in the HNB High Performance Program regardless of how short or long that experience may be. « Be Your Best! »Arenas
