MEDIA RELEASE – ATLANTIC CHALLENGE CUP JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Fredericton, NB -   The 2014 edition of the Atlantic Challenge Cup will take place Friday, October 10th through Monday, October 13th at the Red Ball Internet Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick.  Many great players, coaches and officials have been a part of this event throughout its history and the participants who will be attending the 19th Annual Atlantic Challenge Cup will be looking to continue the legacy started by those that came before them.

Hockey Canada Century Tour Stops in Fredericton

MEDIA RELEASE - Hockey Canada Century Tour Stops in Fredericton

The Hockey Canada Century Tour, in conjunction with the Harvest Jazz and Blues, will be in Fredericton on September 11th until the 13th. The Century Tour Bus will be set up on Carleton Street beginning Thursday at 1:00pm.

MU16 Roster Announced

Male U16 roster announced for Canada Games pre-event to be held Oct 2-5, Charlottetown PEI.

Minor Bantam AAA registration

Minor Bantam AAA (EDZA East) will hold a registration on Thursday September 11, from 6h00 to 7h30 at the Cocgane Arena.  There will also be an ice session the same night from 7h30 to 8h30. All player born in 2001, from District 7 (West Kent) and District 6 (Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, Lewisville, Sackville, Hillsborough, Petitcodiac) are invited. Woodstock Slammers to Host 2016 Fred Page Cup

The MHL has formally announced that the hosting rights for the 2016 Fred Page Cup have been awarded to the Woodstock Slammers. The Slammers winning bid was one of three presented to the MHL at a Board of Governors meeting held in Amherst, Nova Scotia last Saturday. Bids were also submitted by the Amherst Ramblers and Summerside Western Capitals and presented to a selection committee comprised of Co-Chairmen of the MHL Board of Governors Graham Baxter and Stu Rath as well as Rod Clark and Cecil Taylor, MHL Vice-Presidents for New Brunswick and PEI, respectively.

Boissonnault and Pelletier selected to Hockey Canada Under-18 Team

CANADA’S NATIONAL WOMEN’S UNDER-18 TEAM ROSTER NAMED FOR THREE-GAME SERIES AGAINST UNITED STATES

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced Sunday the 22 players named to Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team, which will compete in a three-game series against the United States’ Women’s Under-18 National Team from Aug. 21-24 at WinSport’s Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

The 13 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders were chosen following Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team selection camp, held Aug. 7-17. Players were divided into two teams, Red and White, and competed in three intrasquad games during selection camp.

HPP Rosters Announced

Rosters Announced for Hockey New Brunswick High Performance Summer Camps

Fredericton, NB – July 21, 2014 – Two hundred and sixteen male and female hockey players, in five divisions have been invited to participate in the Hockey New Brunswick Development Festival beginning July 25th.  The camps will run over three weeks in Fredericton, on the University of New Brunswick campus.

Quispamsis Awarded 2016 TELUS Cup

QUISPAMSIS – New Brunswick will play host to a Hockey Canada championship for the first time in 14 years when the nation’s best major midget hockey players come to the qplex.

Hockey Canada has awarded the 2016 TELUS Cup national midget championship to Quispamsis. The Saint John Vito’s will be the host club for the six-team event that will be played from April 18-24, 2016. The gold-medal game will be televised live in both official languages on TSN and RDS.
