Hockey Canada Skills Camp

Hockey New Brunswick and the County Aces have partnered to offer local minor hockey players an opportunity to take part in a Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp on Thursday, March 5th at the Garcelon Civic Center (St. Stephen, NB), home of the Aces.

Players from the Maritime Junior Hockey League County Aces will join skills camp participants on the ice and assist other qualified on-ice instructors.

The primary focus of the camp is centred on on-ice fundamental skills, with off-ice time scheduled for life skill enhancement in areas such as respect, fitness, and teamwork.  Off-ice fitness sessions are included involving games with team work, and proper stretching.

The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps are designed for Novice to Bantam aged players and have the following objectives:

- To develop/enhance the fundamental skills of skating, passing, stick handling, goaltending and shooting.

- To create an opportunity for players to meet other players and develop friendships.

- To promote the fun of the game.

- To teach the concepts of fair play, fitness, safety, team work, and the importance of a positive attitude.

- To provide a memorable experience for all who attend.

The camp will be $60/player. The first 65 players registered will be accepted.

Players who attend the camp will receive:

- Hockey Canada Practice Jersey

- One ticket voucher to an Aces Home game

-Be a special guest at the Aces Practice on Thursday, March 5
