MEDIA RELEASE - Hockey Canada Century Tour Stops in Fredericton

The Hockey Canada Century Tour, in conjunction with the Harvest Jazz and Blues, will be in Fredericton on September 11th until the 13th. The Century Tour Bus will be set up on Carleton Street beginning Thursday at 1:00pm.

 

The Hockey Canada Century Tour which will feature a state-of-the-art interactive timeline of milestone hockey moments is on a criss-cross tour through Canada in celebration of Hockey Canada’s 100th Anniversary.  Kids, families, and newcomers to hockey can come out and enjoy the programs and activities offered by the Century Tour Caravan. Come out and enjoy the TELUS Family Fan Zone, take part in the Samsung Coaching Clinics, and see the 100th Anniversary Hockey Canada Jersey which will be worn by national male, female and sledge hockey teams throughout the 2014-2015 season.

On Thursday at 6:00 pm Hockey Canada will present a Hockey New Brunswick recipient with the Canadian Tire Hero of Play Award.  The award is given to an outstanding volunteer who has displayed a commitment to the values and objectives of Hockey Canada, Hockey New Brunswick and their local Minor Hockey Associations.

The hockey experience will be open to the public on Thursday and Friday from 1:00pm-7:00pm, and Saturday from 11:00am-5:00pm.
