CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced Friday the 23 players that will compete for Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship, taking place Jan. 5-12 in Buffalo, N.Y.

Hockey Canada held it’s Annual General Meeting December 3rd-6th in Ottawa, Ontario.  Hockey New Brunswick is honoured to announce that two of our members now have positions with Hockey Canada.

HOCKEY CANADA AND SAMSUNG UNVEIL HOCKEY CANADA DRILL HUB

                                                                                                                                                                 

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with Samsung, unveiled Thursday the Hockey Canada Drill Hub, which gives coaches the ability to download hundreds of drills and construct practice plans.

Coaches can look for drills by using the search function, or by selecting from one of 16 categories. Drills can be combined into practice plans, and those plans can be shared through email, and through social media.

Canada Winter Games Rosters Announced

Fredericton, NB – November 19, 2014 – Hockey New Brunswick is proud to announce, the players who will make up the 2015 Canada Winter Games Female Under 18 and Male Under 16 teams.

The Canada Winter Games will take place in Prince George, British Columbia from February 13 – March 1, 2015. New Brunswick will be sending twenty players to represent the province in both the Female Under 18 and the Male Under 16 Divisions.

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced Friday the 28 players that have been invited to Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team selection camp, taking place Dec. 10-14, 2014 at the North Wentworth Arena in Hamilton, Ont.

Development Weekend Nov 1-2

Development Weekend

November 1st and 2nd will be Hockey New Brunswick’s annual Development Weekend. All Minor hockey associations across New Brunswick will put their organized games on hold, and offer other development opportunities to players, coaches, managers, trainers, and parents. The purpose of Development Weekend is to offer personal development opportunities to all members of minor hockey associations.

Photos will be collected through social media channels and TIMBER MART website with selection and judging taking place in early December. The winning team will earn a trip of lifetime to the World Junior Championships in Montreal to cheer Team Canada.

19th Annual Atlantic Challenge Cup Wrap-Up

Moncton, NB - The 19th Anniversary of the Atlantic Challenge Cup concluded Monday afternoon in Moncton, New Brunswick and it was another tremendous success.  The event had everything that a hockey fan would want to see and all games were very well attended by parents, the general public and a large number of scouts who took in games over the four days.
