THIRTY-FOUR GOALTENDERS INVITED TO 10TH ANNUAL PROGRAM OF EXCELLENCE GOALTENDING CAMP
CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced Monday the group of 34 netminders that will attend the 10th annual Program of Excellence goaltending camp, June 12-14 at Canlan Ice Sports in Etobicoke, Ont.
Nine goaltenders in the under-20 age category (candidates for Canada’s National Junior Team), seven in the under-18 category (candidates for Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team) and 18 goaltenders in the under-17 category (candidates for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge) will get a chance to work with a number of instructors during the three-day camp.

This years Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Draft was located in Sherbrooke, Quebec. New Brunswick had 16 players drafted this year.
Held in partnership with Hockey Canada 2022 Project, Caroline Ouellette’s Hockey Camps are designed to develop the individual skills of the under 18 players in New Brunswick.
The 2014 edition included as coaches Olympians Julie Chu and Charline Labonté as well as CIS National Champions and McGill graduates Ann-Sophie Bettez and Cathy Chartrand. Our strategic plan will develop in a progressive manner the funda- mentals aptitudes related to hockey and will contribute to the personal development of the players into better athletes.

TO HOLD 47th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
FREDERICTON-Hockey New Brunswick will hold its 47th Annual General Meeting June 12-14 in Fredericton, NB with meetings to be held at the Delta Fredericton. The HNB Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday evening.

QUISPAMSIS, N.B., TO HOST 2016 TELUS CUP
CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with Hockey New Brunswick, officially announced Monday that Quispamsis, N.B., will host the 2016 TELUS Cup, Canada’s 43rd National Midget Championship, from April 18-24, 2016.

Fredericton, NB - The HNB Male Under-16 team took part in the QMJHL Challenge this past week in Boisbriand, Quebec. The event is a showcase for players in Quebec and the four Atlantic Provinces prior to the QMJHL Draft.

Team set for QMJHL Gatorade Excellence Challenge
Fredericton, NB - The Hockey New Brunswick Male Under-16 team will begin its quest for gold this week at the QMJHL Gatorade Excellence Challenge. The 3rd Annual event will take place at the Centre d'excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand, Quebec; and will feature the provincial teams from each of the Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, PEI & Nova Scotia), as well as two teams from Quebec.
Maritime Junior Hockey League Champion Dieppe Commandos are currently attending the Fred Page Cup. This tournament is
comprised of the top Junior “A” teams in Eastern Canada. Play begins on Wednesday April 29 and concludes on Sunday May 3.
The tournament is taking place in Cornwall , Ont. The winner advances to the Royal Bank Cup in Portage La Prairie , Man. May 9 – 17.
The Moncton Junior Vitos captured the 2015 Don Johnson Memorial Cup by defeating the Glace Bay NS Miners 4-1 in the Gold medal game. The Championship tournament took place in Evangeline PEI from Apr 21 – 26. The DJMC represents the best Junior B teams in Atlantic Canada.

Rosters and Schedules announced for HNB Cup
Fredericton, NB – Two hundred and fifty-six male and female hockey players, in three divisions (Male Under-14, Male Under-15 and Female Under-16) will be taking part in the HNB Cup this weekend in Fredericton.
